マーティンの作品は、時間、記憶、死をめぐるテーマを探求しています。
彼の彫刻とインスタレーションは、見る人の中に感覚とつながりを生み出すことを目的とした方法で、場所、物体、素材に対する共通の理解をもたらします。
それぞれの作品は時代遅れのオントロジーを破壊し、記憶と物語から織りなされた新しい素材の階層をゆっくりと構築します。

作家の情報：
マーティンはセント アンドリュース大学とグラスゴー大学で英文学を学び、その後教員教育を完了し、グラスゴー、エディンバラ、香港の学校で英語教師および学部長として働きました。
シュルレアリスムの詩に関する彼の学部論文は、芸術への愛を引き起こし、それは無視できないほどのものになりました。彼は大学に戻り、ダンディーのFine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone、で美術の学士号を取得しました。

Concept
 – Martin’s work explores themes surrounding time, memory and death. His sculptures
and installations exploit common understandings of places, objects and materials in a way that
aims to bring forth a sensation and a connection in the viewer. Each work breaks down outdated
ontologies and slowly builds a new materials hierarchy – woven out of memories and stories.

Biography
 – Martin studied English Literature at St. Andrews and Glasgow Universities, before
completing his teacher training and working as an English teacher and head of department in
schools in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Hong Kong. His undergraduate dissertation in Surrealist
poetry sparked a love of art that grew to the point it could not be ignored, and he returned to
University to study for a BA in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee.
